De acuerdo con Felipe Legorreta García, director de tesis de la estudiante e investigador del Área Académica de Ciencias de la Tierra y Materiales, este enfoque representa una posible aportación científica, ya que no se han identificado antecedentes documentados sobre la obtención de hidroxiapatita mediante un proceso químico de este tipo sin recurrir a la calcinación.
